Hi, I'm Keri Lynn.  I have been working in the field of nutrition as a Dietitian for over 20 years in an array of professional settings. I became disheartened by conventional nutrition approaches that failed to lead my patients to a healing track. Determined to find the truth in nutrition, I invested in learning the principles of Integrative Medicine and Function Nutrition. This practice re-ignited my spark as a Dietitian and lead me to establishing an integrative private practice, ESSENTIALS OF THE ROOT in 2016. In January 2018, I joined Blum Center For Health in Rye New York. I have since transitioned back into private practice and provide nutrition services to my local community. 

I am a Registered (RD) and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) licensed in New York and Connecticut.  I have worked extensively throughout my career in clinical nutrition and food service management in acute, long term care and substance abuse. I furthered my studies in integrative nutrition obtaining the following functional nutrition certifications: Certified Integrative & Functional Dietitian through Next Level Functional Nutrition; credentialing as an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP); and certification as a Certified LEAP therapist (CLT) specializing in food sensitivities.

I am an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Nutrition (DIFM), and Integrative & Functional Nutrition Academy (IFNA).

I treat each client as unique in that no nutrition plan is the same. Anyone that knows me knows that I am passionate about what I do and always welcomes the opportunity to converse about real food and nutrition.
